HYROX is a fitness race where you run a kilometer eight times, each followed by a functional exercise such as a sled push, rowing, or wall balls. The concept originated in Hamburg in 2017 with just 650 participants, but has since grown into a global phenomenon with more than 650,000 participants in 2024.
With four categories and ten divisions based on age and weight, HYROX is for everyone — from beginner to elite athlete. A standardized format, a strong community, and a vibrant event atmosphere make it more than just a race.
Those who want to perform seriously also ensure proper nutrition and supplements: carbohydrates as fuel, creatine and beta-alanine for strength, caffeine for focus, and vitamin D and iron as an often overlooked but crucial foundation.
